The tution fee in VIT is based upon category. The category of fee depends upon your rank in VITEEE minimum being 198000 per annum for category 1 and goes upto 5 lpa. The hostel fee is based upon the fact how many people share the room and if is it air conditioned or not , normally on average it would cost around 90000-100000 annually based on block and type of mess you choose. I am from category 2 CSE core and apart from 12 lacs as academic fee, i have paid around 3.5 lacs for hostel charges. The academic fee as mentioned earlier completely depends on VITEEE rank and category you get. The placements here are good with around 800 companies visiting the college in a year with top recruiters being google, phonepay, zomato, ion, schnieder etc. The NIRF rank and prestige of college was definitely a factor for choosing the college, but the total number of students placed every year was also a big factor with average package of more than 9lpa for Computer Science branch made me choose the college.

VIT Vellore has a mixed bag of reviews. On one hand, the university boasts impressive rankings globally, featured in lists by QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education, and U.S. News & World Report ¹. However, when it comes to placements, some students have expressed disappointment. Despite the college promising 95-100% placements, only around 80-85% of students actually get placed ². *Placement Highlights:* - _Eligibility_: Students become eligible for placements from the 5th and 6th semesters. - _Placement Cell_: The placement cell is considered good, especially for students with an average GPA of 8-9. - _Placement Percentage_: 80-85% of students get placed ² ³. *Facilities and Faculty:* - _Faculty_: Experienced professors with industry expertise. - _Infrastructure_: State-of-the-art facilities, including labs, libraries, and sports complexes. It's essential to weigh these pros and cons and consider individual experiences. If you're looking for more insights, I recommend checking out Shiksha and other review platforms ².

Dear student,

With a rank of 4531 in VITEEE, you have very good chances of getting B.Tech CSE or B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) at VIT AP, especially in higher fee categories.

In 2024, the closing rank at VIT was around 4894 - 5135 (Boys) and 5078 - 5209 (Girls) for Category 1/General. And the general expected 2025 Cutoff for VIT’s B.Tech in AI & ML is under 6000 for category 1

However, for Category 2, 3, or 4, the cutoffs can extend significantly. Some predictions for VIT-AP CSE (AI & ML) for 2025 indicate ranges like 5209-53479 for various categories/ rounds.

You can refer to VIT's Previous-year cut-offs, and estimate 2025 cut-offs as well. The VITEEE counselling process is currently ongoing & our advice would be to attend the counselling rounds carefully. Good luck!

No, a student who has completed VITEEE 2025 Phase 2 counselling at VIT and received a seat allotment is generally not eligible to participate in subsequent phases like Phase 3. Once a student confirms their admission by paying the required fee after a successful seat allotment, their admission is considered final, and they are not allowed to participate in further counselling rounds.

If you have further queries regarding Engineering course admission, you can write to hello@collegedekho.com or call our toll-free number 18005729877, or simply fill out our Common Application Form on the website.
